Why are my leaves turning yellow?
Heres the tricky part, yellowing leaves on plants can be caused by just about anything that’s a little out in your grow room, not enough light, overwatering, nutrient deficiencies, incorrect ph, nutrient toxicities, root disease, virus, it could even be just the plants natural ageing process.
The most common reason for yellow leaves is moisture stress.
The most common reason that plants’ leaves turn yellow is because of moisture stress, which can be from either over watering or under watering. If you have a plant that has yellow leaves, check the soil in the pot to see if the soil is dry.
The First Question is where did the yellowing start, At the top of the plant? is it the whole plant? or did it start at the bottom?
If its the top, the usual suspect is iron deficiency.
If its the bottom its usually a magnesium deficiency
if its an overall yellowing of the plant its probably nitrogen deficiency.
Firstly, i would double check your ph levels and your ph meter, because if your ph levels are incorrect, you dont know what that is, or you dont bother with that nonsense then im 99% sure that’s the source of the problem or problems.
If your ph levels are incorrect in hydroponics or soil growing then your plants will not be able to uptake a lot of the required nutrient elements available to it causing slow growth, poor yields and most obviously deficiencies
Another factor to consider is if you are in the middle of flowering and your sure you have enough magnesium in the tank it could well be potassium toxicity which looks the same as a magnesium deficiency, to address this, cut back on the pk and boosters a little.
